Breaking Bones

Breaking Bones is a quest for Scar in Disney Dreamlight Valley, in which you’ll help him get rid of the wildebeest bones that are littered throughout the Sunlit Plateau. To access the quest, you’ll have to complete the Friends Aren’t Food quest.

Speak with Scar and he will complain about the large wildebeest bones that are strewn about the Sunlit Plateau, taking up space and blocking off areas. He’ll ask you to speak with Scrooge McDuck about upgrading your Royal Shovel.

Speak with Scrooge and he’ll give you a mold to improve your Shovel. Return to Scar and he will tell you that you need to gather the following items in order to use the mold:

You can find Lion’s Claws buried near the cliff in the Sunlit Plateau.

You can find Dry Wood near trees in the Forgotten Lands, Frosted Heights, and Sunlit Plateau.

You can craft Iron Ingots using Iron Ore and Coal. You can mine for Iron Ore in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust.

Once you gather those items, craft the Lion’s Claw Shovel Head at any crafting station. Then, use the item from your inventory to upgrade the Royal Shovel.

Head to the Sunlit Plateau and use the shovel to remove five of the small wildebeest bones in the region.

After you’re finished, speak with Scar and complete the quest.
